Hot again Saturday, then cooler

The late season heatwave that has impacted North Texas will be ending soon as a cold front moves into Texas.
The weekend will still be rather hot. Saturday’s temperatures will reach the mid to upper 90s with an afternoon heat index of 100 to 103. Sunday won’t be quite as hot with highs in the low 90s and a heat index in the upper 90s.
A cold front will move into North Texas Sunday night with a low chance of spotty showers and storms. The front will push south of DFW Monday meaning temperatures will be lower with highs in the low to mid 80s. Overall next week will be much cooler with highs in the 80s and a couple of rain chances Monday and Wednesday.
